Installation view Der Schrei, International Contemporary Art Exhibition, Clarens/Montreux, Switzerland, 2012 | mixed media, 100 x 80cm
Der Schrei is an installation, in which a yellow, two-meter-high siren slowly rotates around its own axis producing a constant, penetrating, cyclical stream of sound that is modulated by the turning of the horn. Its powerful acoustic waves cause objects in the exhibition space to vibrate when the horn of the siren points in their direction.
